Home from #WOWCairns with a busy mind and plenty to think about.
Over a few extraordinary days, I met people whose experiences were vastly different, but who shared a determination to make things better. Some conversations were confronting. Others were joyful, funny and hopeful. Many will stay with me for a long time.
What I loved most was seeing change being tackled from so many different directions. Community leaders, advocates, entrepreneurs, creatives and people simply refusing to accept that things have to stay the way they are.
None of us has the whole answer. But bring together people with different experiences, perspectives and ideas, give them the space to really talk and listen, and something powerful happens. That’s what Cairns felt like.
A special thank you to the wonderful people I shared the journey with. Not just these few days in Cairns, but many chapters before it.
