Virtual Earth – Encoding for performance – new article

johnWeeGo.jpgIn Virtual Earth we use lat/lon pairs everywhere, for pushpins, polylines and polygons but also for map bounds like the current view. This article aims to look at a better way to store and transmit these values. The encoding algorithm used is from Google maps.
