We’re going to the extreme! We’ve signed up to do 12 interactive presentations in one day about Virtual Earth at this year’s Technology Takes You Anywhere event, held on August 22nd in Brisbane.

For those who haven’t heard of the event, it’s aimed at school girls from grades 5-10 and it’s objective are:

  • Changing Attitudes, Changing Practice, Increasing Engagement
  • Increase interest, confidence and competence in the use of a range of information, communication technologies.
  • ICT is fun, people-oriented and can take you anywhere.
  • Gain awareness that information, communication technology offers a diverse range of pathways to challenging, rewarding, future-based careers.

I haven’t presented to children before, so this should be challenging and exciting.  We’ll be bringing out all the toys such as blow up globes and XBox Controllers and see who’s the fastest gun in the east when it comes to flying around Virtual Earth.
